Colizzi, who currently serves as Chairman of EMEA M&A, brings extensive experience to this new role, which focuses on fostering CEO and Board-level relationships, offering strategic guidance, and driving revenue growth across Barclays’ business lines and regions.
The Global Chairman Group, established in 2021, consists of senior Barclays bankers who oversee some of the bank’s most significant client relationships and high-profile transactions. With a collective responsibility for advising on major M&A deals and IPOs, the GCG has played a critical role in over a trillion dollars’ worth of M&A deals and hundreds of IPOs since its inception.

He was promoted to Head of EMEA M&A in 2015 and later became Head of Investment Banking for Continental Europe and Co-Head of EMEA M&A in 2021. Before joining Barclays, Colizzi worked at Citi, Credit Suisse First Boston, BZW, and Smith Barney, further solidifying his expertise in the field.
